Elendil – what I hope is referenced in ‘Rings of Power’

“We have heard that the name of Elendil stands to this day at the head of the line of the Kings of Gondor, since he was accounted the high king of all the lands of the Dúnedain.”

·         Father of Isildur and Anárion(in the books) and Eärien (in Rings of Power only)

·         Tallest of the Men, thought to be at least seven feet tall

·         Direct descendant of Elros, first King of Númenor, his heir and great-grandson by 39 generations of unbroken succession is Aragorn, King Elessar

·         Lord of Andúnië, Leader of the Faithful in Númenor, remaining loyal to the will of the Valar

·         Survivor of the Downfall of Númenor, and the founder and first High King of Arnor and Gondor

·         Sailed with the Faithful, palantíri, the Sceptre of Annúminas, the Ring of Barahir, Narsil and a seedling of Nimloth, the White Tree of Númenor to Middle-earth

·         With the rise of Sauron he formed an alliance with Gil-galad, the High King of the Noldor

·         Fought in the War of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men

·         Gil-galad and Elendil fought Sauron and cast him down, but were both slain

·         His son Isildur used the broken hilt of Narsil to cut the One Ring from Sauron's hand

·         Initially buried on the summit of the beacon hill that was named Amon Anwar, eventually Elendil's remains were moved to the Hallows of Minas Tirith

  TRoP - Harfoots Migration Route In episode 5 Nori tells us about the Harfoot migration route: “We winter in Old Forest, and mid-summer, we make for Norfield Glen to snail while the snailing is good. And at the first blush of oak leaves, we head to the Grove. A whole orchard, popping with bar apples, plums, apricots, carrots...” Old Forest – This can’t be the Old Forest in LotR where the Hobbits met Tom Bombadil. That is located northeast in Eriador. Nori may be referring to Greenwood the Great, later known as Mirkwood in the Third Age. Old Forest may have been were the Harfoots were eating snails in episode 3. Norfield Glen – Not shown on TRoP maps. Norfield Glen is probably somewhere in the northern part of the hilly region to the south of Greenwood. Weedbrook - a branch of the Anduin River.   The Rings of Power – ‘LeakyRumours’ Fellowship of Fans Meteor man was at Bronwyn’s village, Tirharad during one of the raids. A heavily emotional scene was said to have taken place. ·          This seems like a coming together of the meteor man/Harfoot story and the Bronwyn/Tirharad story arc ·          Does this mean Harfoots will be shown in the lands south of Gondor, Harad referenced in the name of the village ·          Is Tirharad the village we see Arondir, Bronwyn, Theo and Galadriel visiting? Is this the settlement later destroyed in a cataclysmic event? Meteorman will throughout this season use his powers to save the Harfoots from people trying to attack them both. ·          There seems to be an ongoing storyline of the Harfoots and meteor man reminiscent of the Gandalf/Hobbit relationship.
